Kristen Adrianna Larsen is a young soprano and actor with a wide array of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Kansas (2016) and a Master's degree in Classical Voice from El Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain (2018). In 2021, Kristen completed the Music Training Certificate course from El Conservatori del Liceu. She currently works privately with Daniel Muñoz, and the pianists Alessio Coppola and Josep Buforn.
While at the University of Kansas, Kristen performed operatic, musical theater, and straight play roles. Some of her highlights included: Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, Meg (Margaret) March in Little Women the musical, Paulette Depaul in Over Here!, No-No in Pooter McGraw is Not Dead Party, and the soprano soloist in Kurt Weill's Berlin to Broadway.
In 2014, Kristen was chosen to participate in the Eutiner Festspiele in Eutin, Germany in 2014, where she performed chorus in Il Trovatore and Anatevka (Fiddler on the Roof, but in German), with a small solo in the "Rumor Scene". The festival also featured her as a soprano soloist in a musical theater tour revue around the Schleswig-Holstein state. She also performed as a soloist in multiple lieder concerts organized by the festival at the Eutin Schloss.
In 2017, she participated as a Young Artist with the SongFest Summer Institute.
In 2021, she participated in Vincerò Academy's Don Giovanni program studying the role of Zerlina. In 2021, she performed the role of Mimì in Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème, and in 2022 she debuted the role of Micaëla in Georges Bizet's Carmen at the renowned Palau de la Música Catalana.
In 2023, she debuted the roles of Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and Flora in La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi at the Palau de la Música Catalana.
In July 2024, Kristen debuted the title role of Georges Bizet's Carmen in Madrid, Spain at the Teatro EDP Gran Vía de Madrid with several performances throughout July and August. In August 2024, she brought the role of Carmen to the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, Spain.
Other important past engagements include performing at the Association of United Nations' 2022 presentation of the Peace Prize in Barcelona, Spain, and more recently, in 2024, a recital of opera arias and duets at the Auditori Josep Viader in Girona, Spain.
In 2025, her engagements include more performances of Carmen at the Teatro Casino l'Aliança Poblenou (Barcelona) and the Teatro Coliseum (Madrid), as well as a performance at Salle Gaveau (Paris, France) on June 20th as a part of the Vincerò Academy Gala.
In addition to performance experience, Kristen has worked with a variety of renowned coaches, teachers, directors, and conductors, such as Javier Camarena, Dolora Zajick, Mario Díaz, Mariella Devia, Lisette Oropesa, Rachel Willis Sørensen, Rinat Shaham, Anthony Manoli, Irina Meachem, Abdiel Vázquez, Stefano de Peppo, Isabel Leonard, Danielle Orlando, Ricardo Estrada, Katerina Tretyakova, and David Neely, among others.
